Personality:
In spite of growing up in the slums, Yachiru is much like a normal child. She is energetic, cheerful and friendly. More often than not, Yachiru is willing to talk to anyone especially if they seem fun or peak her interest. She also enjoys playing pranks on people, but these tend to be generally harmless. For the most part. Though, she is the Vice Captain of the 11th division, she still enjoys playing with toys, eating sweets, and having fun. Though, her definition of fun is different than most. She finds normal things like coloring fun but also thinks sparring or fighting counts as a "fun" activity.
As a toddler, living in the slums, she witnessed a great amount of death and violence. It may have influenced her outlook in life. She is generally fearless when there is danger about. Part of this stems from growing up in the slums but also that she can take on most threats with ease. Growing up around Kenpachi and living with the 11th Division, greatly influenced her love of fighting. She not only enjoys watching a fight but enjoys participating in a fight. While, she does prefer being in the middle of a brawl, she can appreciate a fight between two strong opponents. She will always jump at the chance of going to fight but can amuse herself by simply doing other things.
Yachiru is very devoted to her father-figure and Captain, Zaraki Kenpachi. She truly believes that he is the most amazing person and greatest person in Soul Society. Her faith in him rarely wavers. In her mind, he is the strongest and can cut down any opponent. She knows that he cares for since they are always together. Unless the situation is too dangerous, then she will be left behind in relative safely.
Yachiru can be quite sneaky and mischievous when the mood strikes her. More than once, she uses her power to sneak into places that she does belong such as Byakuya's house. She not only has managed to steal a fair amount of fish from his koi pond. She holds the Women's Associations meeting in a secret room. When Byakuya attempted to seal off the room, it is seen that she built an extra door. In addition, she seems to have a few tunnels that lead into his mansion that Byakuya seems unaware of. All his attempts to stop her shenanigans have proven to be somewhat useless. So far, he made her leave by presenting a rather weird sweet that Yachiru refused to eat which is odd she has eaten odder items. Which made his quite unhappy that she refused his specially made sweet.
Despite being cheerful and friendly, Yachiru has a tendency to lash out with childish violence when insulted or laughed at. She will slap, whack, or bite though biting is reserved for Ikkakku, the person who insulted or laughed at her. Even Zaraki Kenpachi, her father-figure, and Captain isn't safe from her wrath. On more than one occasion, she slapped him for ignoring or insults her. However, Yachiru does not use her supernatural strength when delivering her blows. Again, Ikkaku seems to be the exception.
When meeting someone, Yachiru gives them a nickname of her choosing and ignoring any and all protest made by the person in question. This includes her father-figure, Kenpachi Zaraki. She dubbed the fearsome and vicious man as Ken-chan. Occasionally, Yachiru will constantly assign a new nickname to someone if she finds the person boring. In spite of the silliness of assigning everyone a nickname, this may stem from how Kenpachi stressed that having a name was essential and then giving her a name of someone he respected. Though, this is purely speculation.
Third-Person Sample:
It had not taken too long to adapt to her new environment. Sure, she was still miffed her zanpaktou was gone but her new powers were still very similar to those at home. Smiling, she still had her speed which used against yesterday's monster, a weird looking plant thing. It was an easy fight which was rather disappointing. She had hope the monsters here would be stronger and a more fun to fight. This may have caused her to pout at the thought of fighting weak monsters. But she heard from various townspeople and her Moogle that there were stronger monsters about which cheered her up. Plus, the plant thing had dropped money after the fight which meant she could go out and buy candy.
"That's really weird. How come the plant thing had money? It doesn't have any pockets!"
She pondered for a moment over a plant having pockets before shrugging. She didn't care if monsters had a weird pocket as long as could keep fighting as many monsters as she wished. Then, she heard a rustling sound not too far off. Right, she was supposed to be finding another weird monster for the nice pie lady. The weird monster had taken all the ingredients to make a special pie and had asked Yachiru for help. She had agreed since it meant fighting monsters. Plus, the nice lady said she'd give Yachiru a piece of pie! Yachiru wondered if she could ask the lady where the candy store was located since she could not find it at all.
She crept closer to the rustling bush before a bunch of monsters suddenly sprang out and attacked. They all had bandannas and knives. Maki-chi had told her they were monsters called Goblins. Surprised, she managed to sidestep all the attacks save for one. It didn't hurt but saw the goblin thing took a potion!
"Hey! That's my stuff! Give it back."
The monsters made this weird little laughing noise. Then, they attack again but this time Yachiru managed to hit each of the monsters after they attack. Each monster burst in little light after one hit. The fight was over at soon as it began. Yachiru pouted since she had run into more weak monsters. Oh, her potion! She scrabbled over to pick up her potion when she spotted a few other items. Looking closer, Yachiru realized they were the stolen food items! The group of goblin had taken them. Picking up the items, and a few new potions, she placed them all in her sack.
She finished her mission! Now, she could bring the items back. Bouncing cheerfully, she speeds off in the direction of the nearby village. Tracking the goblin didn't take too long, the goblin were boring to fight, but it still had been fun. Since it was still early, she could go to the monster place and ask the old man to let her fight some more monster. The, she could eat the pie the lady had promised her! It turned out to be a really fun day after all.
Plus a test drive sample just in case this wasn't isn't enough!

I thought this place was going to be boring, but it's not. There are lots of places to explore, but I really like the pen with the giant yellow chickens and the places with all the monsters. All the monsters here look weird and have strange attacks, but they're really fun to fight! But Maki-chi and the monster person said I had to leave. Now, I'm bored. Does anyone want to spar?
